SYFY NETWORK REBRAND
NETWORK VISION
The proposed concept aims to enhance the existing "Creature Feature" trope utilized by the SYFY Network by delving deeper into the connection between behavior and sound. By visually exploring this relationship, we can effectively convey the essence of Science Fiction, which often involves the separation of humans from creatures or the transformation of the mundane into the morbid and twisted. This approach will appeal to viewers from both the music and sci-fi demographics.
STRATEGY
To execute this concept, I focused on zombies as the primary creature representation. Zombies share similar instincts with humans, particularly their sensitivity to sound and occasional impulsive reactions, such as binging behaviors (e.g., binge-eating or binge-watching).
This style frame serves as a representation of the animation's design, capturing the essence of the SYFY Network's unique brand identity. It promises to deliver a visually captivating and immersive experience.
NETWORK IDENTITY ANIMATION
In the proposed network identity scene, a zombie interrupts its binge-watching of the "Twilight Zone" Marathon to satisfy a craving by retrieving a snack from the fridge. As the fridge door opens, it reveals a selection of human heads delicately suspended in gelatin. This juxtaposition of the zombie's primitive instincts with the eerie imagery of human heads will create a compelling visual parallel to the vegetative state of the zombie and the decaying vegetables in the fridge.
By presenting this scene, we aim to captivate the audience and establish a strong connection between the SYFY Network's branding and the intriguing world of science fiction. The visual narrative will effectively convey the network's commitment to delivering immersive and thought-provoking content that pushes the boundaries of imagination.

TREATMENT
As the spring season symbolizes new growth and rejuvenation, the SYFY Channel aims to embrace this theme by portraying a unique perspective on the concept. In this scene, I explored the idea of "defrosting and decomposing" to capture the essence of spring within the context of the network's identity.
The scene opens with a frozen wasteland, representing the remnants of winter. As the camera pans across the desolate landscape, a sudden shift occurs, and the ice begins to melt rapidly. This transformation reveals hidden layers beneath the surface, showcasing the emergence of otherworldly vegetation and plant life.
In a visually stunning sequence, the decomposing process becomes a spectacle of vibrant colors, as the decaying matter gives rise to extraordinary and fantastical flora. The scene captures the enchanting and often eerie beauty of nature's cycle, where decay becomes the catalyst for new life and growth.
